Making Dreams Come True

The Collective Happenings Co was born of my want to once again be a contributing member of the workplace society after an extended period of maternity leave, my need to be able to spend quality time with my son, Bodhi, and my desire to express my creative side.

I fell in love with all things weddings and events after I stumbled across a television show one afternoon on Foxtel - “Whose Wedding is it Anyway?”.  It was from that one show that I decided I wanted my future to be in everything events!  I spent the next few years researching all things events decor on Pinterest, Google, wedding magazines (all whilst of course forging a living in an office job which I enjoyed but am happy to put on the backburner to chase my dream), creating vision boards for how I was going to bring this dream to life and a very stressful period where I decided I wanted to DIY my own wedding “to save costs”!

Turning a Vision into Reality

As much as that was stressful, it allowed my creative side to come out, as it will hopefully for my clients, and save costs on a planner by styling their own event. Hence, DIY was the path I chose for @The Collective Happenings Co.

My grandmother then gifted me a beautiful vintage teacup set and from there, an entire event theme was created! Fast forward to 2018, a fantastic opportunity presented itself enabling me to enter into this fascinating world and I decided to jump in head first! A perfectionist on every detail 

My next venture in this wild ride is to create bespoke and curated gift boxes & gift bags for birthdays, bridal showers, baby showers and more.

 

Have you ever been invited to such an event but get stuck on an idea for a gift? Gift giving for the person who has everything is often the hardest thing to do. The idea behind creating my gift boxes & gift bags is for a group of guests to pool together as little as $20.00 each and purchase a beautiful keepsake for the guest of honour.

 

Our gift boxes start from as little as $130.00 (plus a delivery charge of $20.00 for the metro area).
